What exactly do you do for people?
Right?!? That’s a great question! See if this sounds like you:
“Jessica, I’ve got this room that’s been in limbo. We want to make it nice, but we have no idea what to buy.” “Jessica, we’re removing a wall and want to combine the spaces, but we don’t know the best layout for the aftermath.” “Jessica, I have no decorating gene in my body. I need help pulling our living room together.” “Jessica, I want to create a room that serves as both playroom and office.” “Jessica, I want to have a living room that looks nice when the kids are done, but is also a safe and functional space for them to play during the day.”
Sound like you? If so, you’re in the right place! What I do is help people take the idea that’s in their head and bring it to fruition. I spend a bit of time getting to know what you want, what your style is, what you want to spend and then I take all of that information and create a plan for you. I use the images you give me and create a plan for your space. Paint colors. Furnishings. Accessories.Art. Window treatments. In the end, you’ll have a complete plan that you can follow on your own time. I do not implement the plan for you – I simply provide it to you so that you can run with it when you have the time and the money… and the energy.
What's the difference between eDesign and Design Coaching?
Renderings and specificity. eDesign is all inclusive – it takes your spacial measurements into account so that everything fits perfectly. It provides 3D renderings to help you visualize and it’s very very specific.
Design Coaching is more general. It’s a story board that shows you a collection of items that will work together, but it’s up to you to choose the ones that will fit into your space. Design Coaching doesn’t include renderings and does not include floor plans.
An example of the difference: eDesign will say something like “buy this gray sofa from this place, and it will fit perfectly in your floorplan – which we’ve shown you.” Design Coaching will say, “here’s a sofa we suggest, but make sure the dimensions will work in your space. If they don’t work, pick a gray sofa that fits in your space.”
It’s all about whether you need me to be specific with the dimensions and renderings, or if you feel confident that you can take general suggestions and run with them. If you need help figuring out which service is for you? Just email me!
How long does it take?
eDesigns are typically finished within 3 weeks. It doesn’t take me 3 weeks to finish them, however with the queue of clients I have on my schedule, that’s typically the turnaround time.
Design Coaching PDF’s are ready within 5-7 days of our call/facetime session.
No matter which service you choose, the PDF will be emailed to you.
Why do you require payment in full before you'll design for me?
Sadly, we live in a world where some people are less than wonderful. Designing spaces takes a lot of time, research, planning and coordination. Many hours for each client, and as I am a business in the business of helping our wonderful clients, I am also in the business of making money, therefore I require payment in full up front. I do not start working on your project until the invoice is paid in full.
What if I don't like the design when I get it?
Great question! The reality? I am not a mind reader or magician. 🙂 If you don’t love something, all you have to do is say something. I promise that I’m not going to turn you away. Generally speaking, I ask my clients to create a comprehensive list of questions for me so that I can address them all at once. I do not respond well to machine gun emailing of one question at a time. Design Coaching sessions allow for one follow up email/revision. EDesign sessions allow for 2 revisions. After that, I will bill for $75/hr design time.
Do you have a referral program?
I do!! And it’s my favorite thing EVER. I fully believe in thanking the people who believe in me. Here’s how it works:
Send me 5 new clients (each client can only count for 1 referral) and I’ll comp you $500 towards any service. That’s it. Simple and easy.
Obviously, this is not redeemable for cash and must be used within 1 year of earning the referral bonus. Generally, $500 will get you an eDesign of any normal room, and if you want something larger, just pay the difference and we’ll be good to go.
